How do I know what type of microscope to buy ?
If you have never owned or used a microscope this can be a challenge. Like any tool you are thinking about purchasing it is important to know what you want to accomplish. If you want to magnify items to get a better idea of the fine detail or feature of an object, you should probably consider the scope that has somewhat limited magnification. This type of microscope will also allow you a wider field of view while maintaining a given magnification. If you want to explore one celled animals, (protozoa), or one celled plants such as bacteria then a higher powered compound microscope is probably the best option for you. If you have questions about Accu-scope microscopes or would like help in selecting the right microscope for your needs, feel free to contact us at 404-579-4260 to discuss your needs in more detail,

What should I use to clean the lens of my microscope ?
It is advised to always use a quality lens cleansing fluid along with recommended lens paper. Do not use paper towels or disposable tissues as these can scratch the lens or leave particles on the lens surface. The lens paper should first be dipped in lens cleaning fluid then use a gentle circular motion to clean the eye piece and objective lenses.
